YOUTUBE RULES

DON’T AIM TO EARN MONEY

This is the basic rule and tries to understand it as well.  When you Create a youtube channel don’t dream to be a millionaire overnight. Youtube neither promise to give the bulk of money nor request to work for them.

Rather it’s entirely your decision and if you are starting then work according to the guidelines and then Youtube might consider you to make a partner and apparently you can earn money.

Showcase your talent first, follow Youtube rules and things will automatically happen for you.

BECOME ELIGIBLE

In 2018 rules and regulations have changed drastically. It is not as easy as it was before because you have to complete 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours to be eligible for monetization. If you complete the task you can apply for monetization.

Hope you and your videos (content) are great enough to complete these task so that you will be eligible and earn money soon from and as a Youtuber.

Watch this or read most important points not to create any trouble in future as a Youtuber.

1) CHOOSE CHANNEL NAME

Don’t make a mistake to copy the name of an already famous Youtuber or brand or similar to that. If you think that it will help to grow fast your channel then you are completely wrong.

What will happen? the name you copied is already popular on the internet. So every search with that word will redirect to his/her channel or video. Apparently, the efforts and all you have put in to create videos will be useless.

So choose a unique name for your channel. To be sure, put your name on search engines and check if the same one exists.

2) DON’T CHOOSE SATURATED NICHE OR KEYWORDS

This is one of the most important parts if you starting the career as a Youtuber. Yes, many new creators complain that their respective channels are not getting approved on youtube. The reason is they might have chosen the subject which youtube does not support or banned.

What the heck is this? For example,

One – Have a look at some of the saturated topics – how to earn money, how to rank fast on search engines. Youtube will not allow these topics for monetization because there is already a bunch of information available. So don’t work on these topics if you are planning after February 2018.

Two – How to get 10000 subscribers in a day for youtube, or earn 1000$ a day or how to become a millionaire  Youtube does not support which is illogical.

Three – If you are focusing offensive topics like drugs or weapon or promoting sex. These are small terms but if it is found that your content relates to these words you will be out. Youtube follows some policy very strictly if you found guilty remember though you have great content you will not get approved or ban for the lifetime on Youtube.

3) DON’T CREATE OFFERS

If you are offering sub4sub or anything irrelevant offers then your channel might get terminated without any notice. This is against youtube policy. Don’t create any offers which might violate the policy or terms of services of Youtube

4) TITLE DESCRIPTION AND TAGS

Title – While choosing a title for your video be unique. If you copy a title which already doing well you won’t be able to get on top with the same title. So be creative and choose a bit different title or add some more words to make it unique

Description – Write an appropriate description of the video. Don’t mislead or confuse youtube and search engines. Don’t use improper tactics by filling unwanted or misleading information while writing a description. Your video will never rank on youtube if you are doing same.

Tags – Tags are important for search engines as well as for users for a better experience. Use small and descriptive tags. Do some research if unaware.

5) COPYRIGHT MUSIC OR CONTENT

Many YouTubers face this problem of copyright music or content if you are monetizing your videos.

What happens is, suppose you are using a copyright music to your video and that video got a million views and you start earning.

Then the owner of the music will file a copyright claim. After that either you will have to settle it or remove the entire video from the list. That will be a bad and sad experience overall and your hard work will get ruined. So take precautions while using copyright music or content.
